It’s Time To Return To Electing the Most Qualified Person For Office

The election is finally over!

In spite of her best efforts, Hillary did not become the first woman president. Maybe now we can get back to choosing the best candidate regardless of race, gender, or creed.

Every since affirmative action has been in place, it seems everything we have done and every person that has been placed in a position of power or authority have been based on race or gender, the very thing affirmative action was supposed to eliminate.

The last two elections were nothing but affirmative action in action. I’m not saying neither candidate was qualified or not, but the deciding factor in both elections has been electing someone from a minority, qualifications had nothing to do with it. It’s time to stop the nonsense, no one deserves to be president, it is too big of a responsibility to base it on such frivolous requirements, it doesn’t matter what race or gender they are, the the only requirement is that they are the most qualified.

It matters not if they are black, white, brown, red, or yellow, it doesn’t matter if they are male or female, that was the supposition of affirmative action.

We don’t necessarily need a female or black president, the presidency is gender and race neutral. It matters not if you are a man or woman, white or black, only if you place the welfare of the nation above party politics or special interests.
