My Visit to Drayton Hall Near Charleston South Carolina

Written By: Gary Wonning

As I stood in the large living room, I suddenly heard voices filtering in from the adjoining room. I could envision many people milling around and much merriment. It seemed to be during the time of the American Revolution. Quite interesting.

I sensed I had been there at a previous time and was, just as I sensed at various times while exploring the downtown Charleston area,  I experienced a “Bleed Through” from that time period.

I visited this same plantation years later with my wife and the exact same thing happened. Perhaps at a time later in life, I will learn more.

And people wondered why I sometimes drank too much.
