Arriving in Alice Springs, Northern Territory Australia

Written by: Gary Wonning

We arrived in Alice springs in the late afternoon.  After checking into the Alice Spring Motor Lodge, it was a short walk to Maxims, (a cowboy bar/restaurant) for  dinner. Winter in Australia, the evenings can be quite chilly. Sleeping under the stars the last several nights, it was time for a full nights rest in a comfortable bed. I enjoyed dinner and walked back to the motel alone and went to bed by 9:00.
