Years ago while spending some time in the outback of Australia, I came across these two boys on the banks of the Laura River,
At the time, we were attending a Corroboree or songfest during which the aborigines displayed their ancient customs and dances.
Looking at this photo it is plain to see, the aborigines have lost their way, many no longer follow the customs and teachings of their elders, as a result, they have lost their passion and purpose to life and have resorted to drugs and alcohol
At the time, I thought it was such a shame they no longer follow in the ways of their ancestors. They have lost much of their culture and, as a result, have less to give to the world.
In today’s world, we in the western world have also lost our way. Today, this photo could be taken practically anywhere in the United States, from the skyscrapers of New York to the corn fields of Indiana.
We no longer follow the ways of our ancestors, we are in the process of trashing our sacred documents, the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Declaration of Independence. Those documents are the result of five thousand years of human evolution.
Since the beginning of the modern era, mankind has been advancing towards freedom and liberty, the freedom that was only attained in the last 200 years. In quest of this freedom millions of lives have been sacrificed, and millions have been injured and disabled. Now we are in danger of losing it all because people have forgotten their heritage.
We, as Americans are in danger of losing our heritage, as the aborigines and many other cultures have done.
