Overcoming Bad Karma

Art Prints

We are often told that we need God to forgive us.

That  is true, but not in the way that we think.

It all comes down to Karma, when we do something that is not acceptable to us and our beliefs, whatever that may be, it leaves a mark on our soul and conscious, leaving something for us to settle at a future period in time.

God is non judging, it is our individual soul that judges and determines right from wrong, we all have free will.

We have hundreds of religions and philosophical beliefs on planet earth, each claiming to be the “way”. By practicing these different religions, we all find a path to our God. If God were a judging type of entity, that would not be true.

We all make what is called mistakes or errors in judgement, this creates karma in our mind.

These “mistakes” or errors in judgment is what we need to come to terms with on an individual basis. Once we have forgiven ourselves, God will forgive us.

The life of the Australian Aborigine

Our definition of free will determines we are forgiven when we realize no one is perfect and whatever  we did was done only because of our limited knowledge and understanding at the time. When we gain knowledge, we gain understanding, not only of others but ourselves as well.

It is then we are able to understand and forgive ourselves for our actions.

A Rigid or Unrelenting Secularism

Sell Art Online

This quote from the book Jefferson Lies is right on.A Rigid or Unrelenting Secularism, which ignores or misportrays religious influences, motivations, and persons.

A Rigid or Unrelenting Secularism, which ignores or misportrays religious influences, motivations, and persons.

This can occur through deliberate omission, or by the selective presentation of facts. For example, many who write on religion and the Founders focus on the few whose religious views and practices are not as clearly orthodox as most Founders were. They then generalize from this unrepresentative group of Founders to the entire Founding Fathers, encouraging good apologetics. Or they can present Jefferson’s statement that “it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods or no god” and assert his ambivalence to religious beliefs when in reality he is passionately arguing against any right of government to interfere with the sacred rights of religious conscience.

But unless a reader is already familiar with the full context of such quotes, secularist writers can use them as compelling “evidence” that Jefferson himself was a rigid secularist. The malpractices discussed above do horrible damage to history, but the problems don’t stop there. They also lead to bad policy.

a lutheran church against a sunny blue sky.

The day after Congress adopted the first amendment, they sent a message to George Washington. They asked him to declare a day of Thanksgiving to God.

Congress wanted to show America’s appreciation for the opportunity to create a new government in peace and tranquility.

The founders did not intend for God to be separate from our official acts. The founders just did not want a national denomination, such as in England.

They did not want an established church, an established church would take away religious liberty.
They did not want an established church that could force people to worship against their will or support it with private tax dollars.

Many say the founding fathers didn’t believe in God and weren’t Christian. They even go on to say that George Washington wasn’t a Christian and never went to church and never prayed.

This is completely wrong. In the early days of the United States, the whole of society centered around the local church. Most of the early pioneers attended church regularly or semi-regularly. Practically all our early schools were church sponsored, thus the children’s education was based on religion, as was George Washington.

Available in KINDLE and MANY EBOOK formats.

The Antidote for Modernism

Sell Art Online

The antidote to Modernism is to develop a broad general knowledge of the past, not just the present. Because our current educational system now graduates students lacking even minimal historical knowledge, citizens are misled by outlandish charges Modernists make about not only Jefferson but also other Founders as well as traditionally venerated historical events.

If rudimentary historical literacy is to be achieved today, it must be individually secured, for it is no longer possible to rely on public schools (and even many private schools) for this once elementary knowledge. Fortunately, Americans are now seeking to educate themselves about our own history and are even willing to pay to learn what used to be common at school.

To anyone who is paying attention, the world is changing and changing rapidly. Old values and traditions are falling as new ones take their place.

Without a doubt, many old customs need to fall by the wayside, however, we need to be careful and not throw the baby out with the bathwater. Too many of the values that have supported and guided mankind throughout the ages are also being questioned and many times discarded like yesterday’s fish dinner.

There are certain universal truths that can never be discarded if mankind is to survive and evolved through the ages. The “Universal Truths” are set in stone and often referred to as God’s Laws”, or the Laws of Nature, or “Nature’s Laws”. These laws are based not only on common sense but on the laws of physics as well.

Most look upon God’s Laws as only those mentioned in the bible or some other spiritual text. The laws of nature refer to not only these laws but to all actions that determine and control all human life and endeavors. They refer to not only such teachings as the ten commandments and the golden rule, but to such things as the law of gravity and the laws of actions and consequences.

Available in both KINDLE and MANY ebook formats.

Modernism

Photography Prints

Modernism, which examines historical incidents and persons as if they lived today rather than in the past, thereby separating history from its context and producing flawed conclusions.

For example, because for decades no state university has included religious activities and classes for all its students, the assumption is that it was probably the same in Jefferson’s day, so his views on education must have been secular, and evidence to the contrary is simply ignored as implausible. And because for decades, religious expressions have been expunged from the public square, it is simply accepted that it was also the same two centuries ago; thus, any Jefferson actions otherwise are simply dismissed out of hand as being inaccurate.

The only possible way to separate truth from fiction is to explore the facts as they are. “Jefferson Lies.”

There is an extreme shortage of common sense in today’s world, When looking back in history, I soon discovered this has always been a problem, Benjamin Franklin once said, ”Of all the senses, common sense seems to be the one that is used the least.”

As simple as it may seem, many seem to totally oblivious to it. Most if not all of the problems the world faces today could be solved if people would just sit back and think about what would seem to be the most obvious and simple solution to any issue. Often times people tend to overcomplicate the issues, when an easy and simple solution should be obvious.

I often think back to what my parents and grandparents believed and said, at the time I thought they were totally out of their mind and ignored it. I now wish I would have listened and followed their advice more often.

It is now evident they were a lot smarter than we gave them credit for. Many times, in today’s world, the schools and universities can no longer be counted on to teach truth and values that will guide someone through life.

Their teachings have become convoluted and are no longer sensible. Because so many have lost sight of the basic universal truths, they think these values no longer apply. Mention age old values and many people would have no idea what you were talking about.

We cannot keep teaching beliefs that are not based on solid time worn principles that have endured the test of time. The laws of Nature and/ or Nature’s God cannot be denied without serious consequences.

Available in paperback, Kindle, and many ebook formats.

The Remedy for Minimalism

Photography Prints

According to David Barton’s book, “Jefferson Lies“, this is the best way to remedy minimalism.

The remedy for the fifth malpractice, Minimalism, is to establish context.

Begin with the assumption that things are usually not as simple as they seem. Certainly our own personal experience routinely affirms this to be the case, and it is no less so throughout history.

Always look for the context of what is being said; don’t separate something from its historical setting. Thus, when critics, as they often do, simply lift a single line from a letter – such as Jefferson’s “wall of separation” metaphor or his “question with boldness even the existence of a God” statement – then go back and read the whole letter. And whenever a word or phrase you don’t understand appears in a quote, stop and look it up so that you can grasp its meaning and thus understand its context.

Don’t necessarily accept that something is as easy or conclusive as a writer makes it appear unless you have personally checked enough facts presented by that writer to know if his portrayals and conclusions are indeed accurate and can be trusted.

Minimalism and Thomas Jefferson’s Views on Religion.

Photography Prints

Another excerpt from David Barton’s book, “Jefferson Lies.”

Minimalism  often reduces complicated situations and individuals to simplistic characterizations. Hence, comments Jefferson made that rejected some tenets of orthodox Christianity, particularly late in life, become the basis for portraying him as a lifelong secularist who opposed Christianity.

There is no consideration given to the possibility that Jefferson had a complicated spiritual journey, and no notice is taken of the adverse effects of Christian Primitivism and Restorationism upon him.

Similarly, modern scholars and writers often extrapolate from his statements criticizing specific ministers who were his political enemies or who supported tyrannical state-established institutions and practices to the conclusion that he was completely anticlerical, which is totally false.

While Minimalism, or missing the major point, can occur through oversimplification, it can also transpire through overcomplication – that is, not seeing the forest for the trees.

The American Presidents all Revert back to the Same Mother

Sell Art Online

A thirteen-year-old girl was doing some genealogy research and discovered that every president of the Unites State’s ancestors reverted back to European royalty. When she researched more she found they all had one common mother. The article doesn’t elaborate on who the mother was or if the researcher even discovered who she was.
The bible states that there is a royal bloodline of David, the bloodline allegedly that Jesus descended from.
Suppose, as many believe that Jesus didn’t die on the cross but survived and lived out his life in the south of France with Mary and their child Sarah.
Sarah would have had children, and those bloodline descendants today would be in the thousands.

Many of our country’s founders were masons, those who weren’t still believed in the tenants of masonry. Our capitol Washington D.C. was designed and built by French masons who could be descendants of Sarah. if the bloodline of Joseph is that prominent wouldn’t it make sense that our presidents would also be of that bloodline.
The only president not proven to be of that line is Warren Harding. He is Dutch and it is not known  at this time if he a descendant of that bloodline  or not.
Obama’s bloodline isn’t known either because of all the controversy concerning his birth.

I have always believed that America is the New Jerusalem, that shining city on the hill, maybe this is an indication it may be true.
