As it erupts once again in turmoil, thousands of refugees are once again fleeing the middle east. Europe is beginning to feel the adverse effects as many cities are now becoming uninhabitable.

The refugees are now making their way elsewhere, creating many unsolvable problems as they migrate to what they think is a safer land. But, there is a problem with their thinking, they are bringing their problems with them. Most people learn early in life you can’t run from your problems, they will follow you.
As it is with the refugees, their problems are following them, not only causing decay in the lands from which they came, but are also destroying the countries in which they think they are escaping to. Soon, unless something is done quickly, the whole world will be consumed in chaos.
like many others I’m sure, I have pondered this dilemma for days. What is the solution?
I learned early in life. My dad in all his infinite wisdom taught me that sometimes you just have to stay and fight. No one can do it for you.
I came home from school one day and told dad someone was picking on me,(they call it bullying today,)He looked me square in the eye and said,”Son I can’t be there it protect you all the time, you have to take care of it yourself”
I went to school the next day, smacked that bully in the nose, and after he quit bleeding, he never bothered me again.
So it is with those fleeing, you have to stand up for yourself. You have guns, lord knows we have shipped millions of them to you.
I know it isn’t easy, in America, we had a revolution, and a civil war, brother against brother. It was vicious with people enduring hardships that shouldn’t have had to endure, many died, many were wounded and many lost every fortune they had.
But we Americans had nowhere to go, and we wanted something better for ourselves and our descendants. Our men didn’t run, they stood and fought.
Our soldiers were poorly armed and clothed, many were nearly naked in the freezing weather. They weren’t educated, most had never attended any school, if they did it was a church school, that’s all there was in those colonial days.
The patriots were fighting the largest army the world had ever known and won. They didn’t have a chance, but they had a dream in their heart.
If you are fleeing oppression, you need to find a dream. Americans have big hearts, but we don’t have room for seven billion people.
