Nothing like starting the day with an early morning balloon ride. Rising before dawn and leaving our motel room in Alice Springs Australia we never knew what adventure awaited us.
Located in the middle of Australia, Alice Springs is one of the larger towns in the Northern Territory. Sporting a population of about 25,000, Alice is one of the largest cities in Australia, no town come close to it’s population for over a thousand miles.
Firing up the burners, we launch just as the sun rises over the horizon.
Floating high above the desert below.
The out back lies below, because of the quiet, the wildlife never notice we are above them, as a result hundreds of birds, kangaroos, and other wildlife can be observed.
Back on the ground, it’s time to pack the balloon for the next ride. Afterwards a champagne brunch and back to the motel for a nap.
