A String Walks into a Bar

A string walked into a bar, hopped on the barstool, and said, “Bartender, gimme a beer.” The bartender said, “I’m sorry, sir, we don’t serve strings here.”

Disappointed, the string hopped down from the stool and went to the next bar. He hopped on the barstool and said, again, “Bartender, gimme a beer.” The bartender said, “I’m sorry sir, we don’t serve strings here.”

The string continued down the row of bars in this fashion. At every bar, he hopped on the barstool and said, “Bartender, gimme a beer.” The bartender at every bar in turn said, “I’m sorry sir, we don’t serve strings here.”

Finally he got to the last bar in the area. He was tired, he was sweaty, all he wanted was a beer. He trudged inside, climbed on the barstool, and said, “Bartender, gimme a beer.” This bartender, too, said, “I’m sorry, sir, we don’t serve strings here.”

Tired and angry, the string walked outside to think. He was a hard-working string. He deserved a beer. Finally, he came up with an idea. He had a passerby tie him up into a bow and frazzle his ends. Then he went back into the bar, and climbed up on the barstool. “Bartender, gimme a beer!” he said loudly.

The bartender looked him over critically, and finally yelled, “Hey, aren’t you that string that was in here a few minutes ago?”

The string replied coolly, “Nope, I’m a frayed knot.”

Alpena, Michigan

In spite of it’s small population,11,000,Alpena is the largest city in the sparsely populated northeast Michigan area. The cultural and commercial hub of the area ,Alpena and Traverse City are considered to be the two anchor cities in Northern Michigan.

Originally a part of Anomickee County, it was founded in 1840 and in 1843 the name was changed to Alpena. A Native American word meaning “Good partridge country.” This came at a time when there was a great effort to rename many of the Michigan cities.

Known at “The Sunrise Side,” because of it’s location on the east shore of Lake Huron, it began as a large commercial fishing area, and later was also shaped by the logging industry.

The Hyperboreans: Who Were They?

Who Were The Hyperboreans?

Written by: Gary Wonning

There is a legend the Hyperboreans lived in the region of the north pole sometime between 12,000 and 30,000 years ago. Because of the ice age they sought shelter underground to escape the ravages of the climate changes.

In spite of different spiritual philosophical beliefs, they lived in harmony. They believed we all incarnate as different races, genders, and philosophies to learn the many lessons the earth plane offered.

They never fought over these varying beliefs, they understood that we each incarnate many times in different life roles to learn, they understood we aren’t all the same and aren’t meant to be. We don’t need to totally understand each other or our various  beliefs. They realized all paths are valid and that each and everyone of us have walked the path others are now walking sometime in our distant past.

The inhabitants of Thule were highly advanced in their thinking and were thus able to coexist peacefully.

We can do it in this time and world , in the end it is up for each and every one of us to work towards that goal ,but we do need leaders who can lead the way, and not create dissension by trying to divide us.

Enlightenment

At this period of time in the history of man, there is probably more individual searching being done into the theories behind the origin of the human race, what happens after death, the possibility of life on other planets, and what our relationship is to these life forms, if they do exist. There are millions of people who are questioning the existence of God, who he really is, and what is my relationship with him? Is he someone who mysteriously floats around on a cloud watching and judging us from above like some bigger than life Santa Claus, or is he, like many of the esoteric sciences claim, a part of our inner Self, whom we have constant contact with, someone whom we and everything in the universe are connected and are thus one? Each of us in our own way is experiencing what God is, and thus we are each a part of God, thus we are God! This book is a brief account of my search for my own truth as I know it today, everything stated actually happened, according to my own perception. It has been an exciting search,at times very frustrating, very rewarding, and above all, very fulfilling. My main purpose in writing this book is to show that anyone, even a bashful unfamous country boy can have these awakenings, you don’t have to be rich or well-known to find your connection to Divine Source. I began taking notes for this book over thirty years ago, at the time, writing a book was the farthest thing from my mind. My only thought was to have a journal to read over when I got older. As a result, I didn’t record some of my references, many of the references were from Aboriginal and Mayan elders themselves, many of which has been the victim of the ravages of time. Hence my book is short on references, but long on experience, I hope you understand

The Piano Tuner

THE PIANO TUNER

A man moved to another state where he didn’t know anyone. In the move, his old piano was jarred, and of course it needed to be tuned when the man arrived.

So he asked around, and was told that Earl Opporknockity was the best piano tuner in the area. The man called Earl and hired him to tune his piano.

Earl had a keen ear and a deft touch, and did a wonderful job tuning the old piano. The man was able to play beautiful music once again, and was very pleased.

After a year or so the old piano started producing sour notes again. So the man called Earl, and asked him to come work his magic on the old piano again.

To the man’s surprise, Earl refused, saying “Sorry, I can’t accept the job.”

“Why not?” the man wanted to know. “I’ll pay you twice as much as last time if you’ll just come tune my piano.”

“Haven’t you heard?” Earl asked, “Opporknockity only tunes once.”

Healing Karma

Healing Karma

Written by: Gary Wonning

Have you ever thought that you may be healing the karma of your ancestors? Do you sometimes feel they are looking over you so you might  understand that satisfying their karma is also repaying yours?

We have a spirit family as well as a physical family. Most times those in our spirit family are also present in our physical family, though they may be fulfilling different roles in the physical world than they do in  the spirit world.

This can lead to some confusion, as we humans always think in the linear world rather than the spirit world. The relationship we have in the spirit world is our true relationship with each and every soul.  In other words, if someone is your spirit daughter , that is your true relationship with them . The relationship you have with them in the real world, you both have chosen to enable each of you to learn needed lessons necessary for your spiritual advancement.

Many spiritual traditions teach that the spirits of our ancestors are alive, well, and able to influence the present. Our karma is not only the collection of our imbalances, but can also be a collection of our ancestor’s imbalances as well. This is one of the many missions we volunteered for when we chose to be born in this earth plane.

We are working on a group soul cleansing and an individual soul  cleansing simultaneously. They coincide and are interconnected. By clearing group karma, we are clearing our own karma as well. Each and every soul involved in this group cleansing, is also working on clearing our own karma as well as their own.

Our ancestors, because of the times they lived in, believed certain ways, had desires and attitudes according to the times they lived . As we advance as a race, new truths are given us, and many times these change our beliefs and attitudes.

The old truths and knowledge doesn’t change, universal knowledge never changes, it is constant. Only our understanding of it changes.

We have reached a pinnacle in human development. Because the earth is entering the Age of Aquarius, our  knowledge and understanding is increasing greatly. This has led to much confusion and misunderstanding. It seems as if the old ways of thinking are falling away and a new level of knowledge is surfacing. In many cases this is true, our desire for more technology in our lives has lead us to a life where spirituality has fallen by the way side while we search for technology to make our lives better and more fulfilling.

It is now time for us to remember our spiritual past and the guidelines that have been given to us by the ancients. It is time to bring forth the teachings of the ancients and combine them with the technology we have been blessed with. In this way , we can not only heal the karma of not only ourselves, but our ancestors as well.

It is time to combine the knowledge of the ancients with our knowledge to create a world unsurpassed with anything humanity has ever known.

We are at a critical time in the history of civilization, if we don’t embrace the spiritual knowledge of the past and apply the time worn principles brought forth by our ancestors, we are doomed to repeat the tragedy’s of the past and our world will plummet into another thousand years of darkness.

Why do People Think Like They Do?

For a long time I have tried to understand why people think the way they do.

To me, some people’s line of reasoning is so far out of line , it is incomprehensible how they can believe what they do and think it makes sense.

I understand that not everyone thinks the same,no one thinks they should, but for some, their line of reasoning is so far out of line , there is no way what they believe can work or be useful in the real world.

I happened to be watching a movie tonight and a statement was made that made it all make sense.

The movie was called “Premonition” and Sandra Bullock was asking a priest for advice about a premonition she had.

During the conversation the priest remarked,” People who have lost their spiritual beliefs are taken over by a force greater than themselves.” I’m paraphrasing , but that was the meat of the statement. The priest went on to say that they then begin to belief absurd things.

When people fall away from their spiritual foundation, they begin to believe anything. Thier reality changes.

Nature abhors a vacuum, when a person loses their individual beliefs, a vacuum is created and something is going to rush in and fill that vacuum. This is a natural event and happens to many people. Most of us at some point in our lives question what we believe and many times we change our perspective completely.

As this is happening in our lives it is important to remember to keep one foot planted firmly on the ground as we are reaching for the stars. What is real must always be kept in mind.

If one foot isn’t grounded in reality, we tend to create an unrealistic reality, and begin believing everything and anything. That is what is happening to many souls, they actually begin to believe their absurdity, they no longer think objectively and they don’t even realize it.

We are living in a changing society and nothing can be done to stop many of the adjustments that are being made to our lives. Having said that , we need to hold onto the basic truths and knowledge that has guided society from the beginning of time, those unchanging truths that are called the Laws of Nature, Nature’s Laws, or the Laws of God, or Nature’s God.

Many are living in an entirely different universe, they have replaced God with government , and mistakenly believe all solutions come from elected officials.

They have lost their birthright, God provides the answers, the God within, not government.

Even the founding documents of our country state this.

You have to believe in something bigger than yourself.

George Koritzer

There is an extreme shortage of common sense in today’s world, When looking back in history, I soon discovered this has always been a problem, Benjamin Franklin once said, ”Of all the senses, common sense seems to be the one that is used the least.” As obvious as it may seem, many seem to be totally oblivious to it. Most, if not all of the problems the world faces today could be solved if people would just sit back and think about what would seem to be the most obvious and simple solution to any issue. Often times people tend to over complicate the issues. I often think back to what my parents and grandparents believed and said, at the time I thought they were totally out of their mind and ignored it. I now wish I would have listened and followed their advice. It is now evident they were a lot smarter than we gave them credit for. Many times, in today’s world, the schools and universities can no longer be counted on to teach truth and values that will guide someone through life.
