Countries need to fight for their own freedom

We have come to a period of time in history when we as Americans can no longer fight for the freedom of others.

Through out history, America has always stood for freedom and independence, in the beginning we struggled and defeated the biggest military the world had ever known at that time , the British Empire, to gain our own independence.

Art Prints

The Civil War saw a great struggle to end slavery and the two world wars were fought to end oppression on a world level. In each struggle America, as well as Britain and other western powers fought oppression around the world resulting in millions of people enjoying freedom today.

We have come to a period in history where that must change.  We must always remain vigilant and be a force for liberty, however, we simply can’t fight everyone’s battles.  Freedom like respect, must be earned.

Freedom can’t just be given to someone, they must have a stake in it, otherwise they won’t treasure it and keep it sacred.

We have seen the result of what occurs when we enter a country and expose them to freedom when they are not ready for it, or understand what freedom is.

The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are two prime examples. although our intentions may have been good, and we may have had a legitimate reason for both wars, they did not turn out well.

The two wars did provide us the opportunity to apprehend the villains responsible for many terror attacks not only on our soil, but around the globe as well.

Converting a people or nation to freedom didn’t work, they aren’t ready for that.  They will learn that in their own time. In the meantime, our objective should be to keep ourselves safe from the evil deeds of others so we may enjoy the freedom we have earned, by maintaining a strong military and remaining close to our creator so we may preserve our own freedom and independence.

The woman called her husband’s 10 best friends.

Eight of them confirmed that yes, he had slept over. And two claimed that he was still there!

Ireland declares War on France

Ireland Declares War on France

Jacques Chirac, The French President, is sitting in his office when his telephone rings.

“Hallo, Mr. Chirac!” a heavily accented voice said. “This is Paddy down at the Harp Pub in County Clare, Ireland. I am ringin’ to inform you that we are officially declaring war on you!”

“Well, Paddy,” Chirac replied, “This is indeed important news! How big is your army?”

Right now,” says Paddy, after a moment’s calculation, “there is myself, me Cousin Sean, me next door neighbor Seamus, and the entire darts team from the pub. That makes eight!”

Chirac paused. “I must tell you, Paddy, that I have 100,000 men in my army waiting to move on my command.”

“Begoora!” says Paddy. “I’ll have to ring you back.”Sure enough, the next day, Paddy calls again.

“Mr. Chirac, the war is still on. We have managed to get us some infantry equipment!”

“And what equipment would that be, Paddy?” Chirac asks.

“Well, we have two combines, a bulldozer, and Murphy’s farm tractor.”

Chirac sighs, amused; “I must tell you, Paddy, that I have 6,000 tanks and 5,000 armored personnel carriers. Also, I have increased my army to 150,000 since we last spoke.”

“Saints preserve us!” says Paddy. “I’ll have to get back to you.”

Sure enough, Paddy rings again the next day.

“Mr. Chirac, the war is still on! We have managed to get ourselves airborne! We have modified Jackie McLaughlin’s ultra-light with a couple of shotguns in the cockpit, and four boys from the Shamrock Bar have joined us as well!”

Chirac was silent for a minute and then cleared his throat. “I must tell you, Paddy, that I have 100 bombers and 200 fighter planes. My military bases are surrounded by laser-guided, surface-to-air missile sites. And since we last! spoke, I have increased my army to 200,000!”

“Jesus, Mary, and Joseph!” says Paddy, “I will have to ring you back.”

Sure enough, Paddy calls again the next day.

“Top o’ the mornin’, Mr. Chirac. I am sorry to inform you that we have had to call off the war.”

“Really? I am sorry to hear that,” says Chirac. “Why the sudden change of heart?”

“Well,” says Paddy, “we had a long chat over a few pints of Guinness, and decided there is no way we can feed 200,000 French prisoners.”

The Extraterrestrials: We Are One

Written by: The Bashful Country Boy

For many years a lingering question has always bugged me. Who are the Extraterrestrials?

Over the years I have had contact with many of them. The lingering problem was I had never seen their faces. The only time I had caught a glimpse of them was during a visit in Sedona Arizona. In this particular instance, I saw them but their heads resembled a horse head and this didn’t seem right.

I finally realized because of the difference in the space time continuum between their dimension and ours, their bodies were distorted,as a result their heads seem longer than they were.

The on going message   had always been that it didn’t make any difference where they came from or what they looked like, it was the message that was important. I could fully understand that, just as in this dimension , it doesn’t make any difference if Jesus said it,  Confucius, or the janitor in your building. The message is what is important.

Finally early this morning , I was communicating with one of them in a dream and he suddenly turned around so I could see his face, it was me, or my future self!

I finally understood what I had been told for all these years, They are we. Without us they cannot exist. They are our future selves. They are concerned about how we treat the planet and what kind of world we leave them. Years ago the message always seemed to center around protecting the environment and their concern we may blow ourselves up in a nuclear war.

Those concerns certainly still exist, but today the message has more to do with our actions and the direction our society is going in regard to the disdain of many concerning God’s natural laws.

Since they are us and we are them, and they are our future selves, if we mess it up, who do you think gets to fix it?

Many older people don’t seem to think they need to worry about the state of our country, they seem to think they will be dead before any major changes come about, while many of the younger people are oblivious to the whole matter.

It concerns everyone , it doesn’t matter how old you are, there is no guarantee we can last another thirty years the way things are going, and besides that do you really want to leave the world in the mess it’s in to your grandchildren?

The baby boomers built the most advanced and modern country ever known to mankind. We have luxuries and advantages that are the envy of the world. We have much to be thankful for and proud of. The one mistake we made was to spoil our offspring and not make life hard for them so they would appreciate it, we didn’t teach the values that made this country great. Many have no respect for themselves or each other.

Most baby boomers swore to never say anything that would sound like something their parents would say, big mistake.

It’s time to correct some of those errors, if we don’t , guess what, the laws of karma, cause and effect are real, we get to come back and do it over. Do you really want to do that?

It will be a lot harder next time around than it will be today.

Dear God

Dear God

Supposedly true excerpts of kids’ Sunday School letters to God.

Dear God:

  • In Sunday School they told us what you do. Who does it when you are on vacation?
  • How did you know you were God?
  • I read the Bible. What does begat mean? Nobody will tell me. Love, Allison
  • On Halloween I am going to wear a Devil’s costume, is that all right with you?
  • Are you really invisible or is that just a trick?
  • Is it true my father won’t get into Heaven if he uses his bowling words in the house?
  • Did you mean for giraffe to look like that or was it an accident?
  • Who draws the lines around the countries?
  • Do animals get to use you too or is there someone else for them?
  • I went to this wedding and they kissed right in the church … is that OK?
  • I like the Lord’s Prayer the best of all. Did you have to write it a lot or did you get it right the first time? I have to write everything I ever write over again.
  • God, it’s OK that you made different religions but don’t you get mixed up sometimes?
  • Did they really talk that fancy in Bible times?
  • I would like to know why all the things you said are in red?
  • Is Reverend Coe a friend of yours or do you just know him through the business?
  • Did you really mean do unto others as they do unto you, because if you did then I’m going to fix my brother.
  • My grandpa says you were around when he was a little boy. How far back DO you go?
  • I know all about where babies come from. I think. From inside mommies and daddies put them there. Where are they before that? Do you have them in Heaven? How do they get down here? Do you have to take care of them all first? Please answer all my questions…I always think of you. Yours Truly, Susan
  • Thank you for the baby brother but what I prayed for was a puppy.
  • Please put another holiday between Christmas and Easter. There is nothing good in there now.
  • Why is Sunday School on Sunday? I thought it was suppose to be our day of rest.
  • I wish you would not make it so easy for people to come apart. I had 3 stitches and a shot.
  • If we come back as something, please don’t let me be Jennifer Horton, because I hate her. Thank You. Love, Denise
  • Please send Dennis Clark to a different camp this year.
  • Maybe Cain and Abel would not kill each other so much if they had their own rooms. It works with my brother.
  • I want to be just like my Daddy when I get big but not with so much hair all over.
  • I keep waiting for Spring but it never comes yet. Please don’t forget.
  • I think the stapler is on of your greatest inventions.
  • I bet it is very hard for you to love all of everybody in the whole world. There are only 4 people in our family and I can never do it.
  • Of all the people who work for you, I like Peter and John the best.
  • My brother told me about being born but it sure doesn’t sound right.
  • If you watch in church on Sunday, I will show you my new shoes.
  • I like the story about Chanuka the best of all of them. You really made up some good ones!!
  • I would like to live for 900 years like the guy in the bible.
  • We read Thomas Edison made light. But in Sunday school they said you did it. So, I bet he stole your idea.
  • If you would of let the dinosaurs not extinct we would not have a country…I think you did the right thing.
  • It is great the way you always get the stars in the Right places.

America: An Exceptional Country

Written by : Gary Wonning

Many today think there is nothing exceptional about America. They assume we are no different than the rest of the world and to think we are exceptional is pompous and arrogant.

Our exceptionalism has nothing to do with arrogance. It has to do with the tenants of our country, our founding and our Bill of Rights ,Constitution and Declaration of Independence. These sacred documents rank  with the Magna Carta and the bible in importance to individual liberty and freedom.

Our constitution guarantees freedom for all and states our rights come from God, not the government.

This is foreign to most,  most people  assume their rights come from government. We as Americans don’t believe this. We believe our constitution limits what government can do to us,and what we let them do, not what they let us do. There is a big difference.

Our rights come from God or a higher source, they are unalienable rights, not changeable by man. This basic difference guarantees us freedoms not available to anyone else in the world. It enables us to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness without interference from any one or more importantly from a government.

It doesn’t guarantee us happiness. or success, it just guarantees us the right to pursue it. We can only be happy or successful through our own endeavors, there isn’t anyone in government or anyone outside ourselves who can make us happy if we don’t want to be.

Our founders knew how corruptible governments can and will become. They built many safeguards into our constitution to ensure that our government would never become dictatorial.

They tried to ensure our government would be inefficient and thus unable to totally control our lives as most governments in Europe had done. Our founders believed that the least amount of government necessary was the best government.

Today we have strayed from these basic principles and we are paying the price, our freedoms and liberty are slowly disappearing. If nothing is done we too will soon fall into the ranks of declining civilizations and freedom will be no more.
