Artie the Hitman

Photography Prints

Tired of constantly being broke, and stuck
in an unhappy marriage,
a young husband decided to solve both problems by taking out a large
insurance policy on his wife (with himself as the beneficiary), and
arranging to have her killed
.

A “friend of a friend” put him in touch with a nefarious underworld
figure, who went by the name of “Artie.” Artie explained to the husband
that
his going price for snuffing out a spouse was
$5,000.

The husband said he was willing to pay that amount, but that he
wouldn’t have any cash on hand until he could collect his wife’s
insurance money.

Artie insisted on being paid SOMETHING up front. The man opened
up his wallet, displaying the single dollar bill that rested inside.
Artie sighed, rolled his eyes, and reluctantly agreed to accept the
dollar as down payment for the dirty deed.

A few days later, Artie followed the man’s wife to the local
Safeway grocery store. There, he surprised her in the produce
department, and proceeded to strangle her with his gloved
hands.

As the poor unsuspecting woman drew her last breath, and slumped
to the floor, the manager of the produce department stumbled
unexpectedly onto the scene. Unwilling to leave any witnesses
behind, Artie had no choice but to strangle the produce manager as
well.

Unknown to Artie, the entire proceedings were captured by hidden
cameras and observed by the store’s security guard, who immediately
called the police. Artie was caught and arrested before he could
leave the store.

Under intense questioning at the police station, Artie revealed
the sordid plan, including his financial arrangements with the
hapless husband.

And that is why, the next day in the newspaper, the headline
declared,

“ARTIE CHOKES TWO FOR A DOLLAR AT SAFEWAY.”

The Ducks Made it

A man traveling down a country road was forced
to stop before a giant puddle
covering the entire road. Looking to the side of the road, the man noticed
a
farmer leaning on a fence. “Think it’s safe to cross?” the man
asked.

“I reckon so,” replied the
farmer.

The car was immediately swallowed by the
puddle as the man drove in. In
fact, it was so deep that he had to roll his window down to swim out of his
car back to the surface. As his head broke the surface the man said to the
farmer, “I thought you said I could safely drive through this
puddle!”

“Well, shoot!” said the farmer, scratching
his head. “It only come up
chest-high on my ducks!”

History of Bermuda

Your favorite PHOTOSHOP

The History of Bermuda

Bermuda was first discovered in 1503 by a Spanish explorer named Juna de Bemudez. At first both Spanish and Portuguese ships used the islands as stop over for fresh meat and water.

Soon legends of spirits and devils inhabiting the island sprang up. Most likely these legends sprang from the callings of native birds.

Stormy sea conditions kept anyone from establishing permanent settlements on the Isle of Devils for many years.

The first attempt to settle the island came in 1515 when Bermudz and Gonzalo Fenandez  de Oviedo went to Bermuda with the concept of stocking the island with breeding hogs as a future food source for passing ships. That mission failed when inclement weather prevented them from landing.

During the next century the island was visited frequently but never settled, also during this time the first two English settlements in Virginia also failed and the King of England was determined to establish a colony in the new world.

In 1609, a flotilla of ships left England for the Americas to relieve the colony at Jamestown which had been settled two years earlier.

The flotilla was broken up by a storm and the flagship,Sea Venture was wrecked off Bermuda, leaving the survivors stranded on Bermuda, most of the survivors continued on to America, the remaining settlers  claimed  the island for England and St. George’s was made the first capital. Being settled in 1612, it is now the oldest continually inhabited English town in the New World. The first British coins struck in America were made here.

Because of it’s limited land area and near perfect climate, Bermuda has always had a problem with over  population. Luckily many Bermudians immigrated to the United States as England over came Spain as the dominant European power in the new world. As seafaring was the only industry on the island, at least a third of the islands total population was a sea at any particular time.

Due to limited resources  and land some of the world’s first conservation measures were enacted in Bermuda.

Although many attempts were made to farm the land, they met with little success and the tiny island finally turned to the sea as it’s main source of income.

And along with salt mining, the sailors turned to other ventures, such as whaling and pirating.  The land was also replanted with the native juniper, which was  used in ship building.

After the American Revolution, the Royal Navy began improving the harbors in the west chain. During the War of 1812, the British attacks on Washington and Baltimore were planned and began in Bermuda.

Bermuda was used regularly by Confederate forces during the Civil War to evade Union forces, and to bring desperately needed good to the south from England.

As modern communications and transportation systems developed in the 20th century, Bermuda became a popular destination for wealthy American, British and Canadian tourists.

The Royal Naval Dockyard and the attendant military garrison continued to be an important component of Bermuda’s economy until the mid-20th century.

Beginning during World War 2, the United States began building military installations  on the island.

In the late 1930s airlines began scheduled airline service to the island., in today’s world international business has out reached tourism as Bermuda’s principle industry.

Love the Presence within by Rhonda Byrne

Photography Prints

Written by: Rhonda Byrne

The truth is that the Universe has been answering you all of your life, but you cannot receive the answers unless you are aware.  Be aware of everything around you, because you are receiving the answers to your questions in every moment of the day.  The channels those answers can come through are unlimited.  They could be delivered in the form of a newspaper headline that attracts your attention, or overhearing someone speaking, or a song on the radio, or signage on a truck passing by, or receiving a sudden inspiration.  Remember to remember, and become aware!

I have found on my own life and in others’ lives that we do not think well of ourselves or love ourselves completely.  To not love ourselves can keep what we want from us.  When we don’t love ourselves, we are literally pushing things away from us.

Everything we want, whatever it may be, is motivated by love.  It is to experience the feelings of love in having those things–youth, money, the perfect person, job, body, or health.  To attract the things we love we must transmit love, and those things will appear immediately.

The catch is, to transmit the highest frequency of love, you must love yourself, and that can be difficult for many.  If you focus on the outside and what you see now, you may trip yourself up, because what you see and feel about you now is the result of what you used to think.  If you don’t love you, the person you see now is likely to be full of faults that you have found in yourself.

To love yourself fully, you must focus on a new dimension of You.  You must focus on the presence inside of You.  Take a moment and sit still.  Focus on feeling the life presence inside you.  As you focus on the presence within, it will begin to reveal itself to You.  It is a feeling of pure love and bliss, and it is perfection.  That presence is the perfection of You.  That presence is the real You.  As you focus on that presence, as you feel, love, and praise that presence, you will love yourself fully, quite possibly for the first time in your life.

Any time you look at yourself with critical eyes, switch your focus immediately to the presence within, and its perfection will reveal itself to You.  As you do this, all imperfections that have manifested in your life will dissolve, because imperfections cannot exist in the light of this presence.  Whether you want to regain perfect eyesight, dissolve disease and restore well-being, turn poverty into abundance, reverse aging and degeneration, or eradicate any negativity, focus on and love the presence within you and perfection will manifest.

The absolute truth is that the “I” is perfect and complete;

the real “I” is spiritual and can therefore never be less than

perfect; it can never have any lack, limitation, or disease

There was an old Italian man who had moved
to the US in his youth. He
worked hard his whole life at a fruit stand, frugally saving every
penny he could, investing money in stocks. When the time came to
retire, he had made enough to have his dream house built.

He hired an architect and eagerly started planning out his mansion.
After working out most of the rest, the architect asked if there was
anything special the Italian man wanted to include.

“Yes,” he said, “I-a allus-a want one of-a those-a hollow estatues
at-a the bottom of-a the stairs!”

“No problem!” said the architect, “I’ll pick a really beautiful
one!”

Comes the day for the grand opening of the house, and the Italian
man’s first look at it. He goes inside and excitedly runs around the
house, looking at everything and exclaiming “Yes, yes! That’s-a just
how I want it!”. He gets to the foot of the stairs and sees a stunning
porcelain Venus De Milo on a pedestal.

He turns to the architect and says “‘ey! What’s-a
that?”

The architect, somewhat baffled, says, “That’s the hollow statue you
asked for.”

“No, no, no!” the Italian man replies, shouting in the architect’s
face and waving his hands, “I no-a ask for that, I wanna hollow
estatue!”

“Well, I’m afraid I don’t understand. Could you explain to me what
you want?” the architect asked.

In the patient voice used on small children, the Italian man
carefully said, “I want-a that-a thing. It sit-a on the table. It-a
say ‘Ring ring’. You pick-a it up and say-a . . . “hallo, estat
you?”
