You Can't take it with you

You Can’t Take it With You II

A lawyer is on his deathbed. He calls his three associates in and
says, “They say you can’t take it with you, but I plan to. In each of
these cases is a million dollars in cash. Just after they lower my
casket I want you to each throw it in with me.”

The men are all silent.

“I know I can trust you…” the dying man says.

They all three give their solemn promise.

The next week, leaving the funeral, one says to the other two, “I
have to get this off my chest. I lost a lot in the market last year and I
really needed the money. I took out half of the million dollars.”

The second lawyer says, “Oh, God, me too. After my divorce I’ve been struggling to catch up. I only threw in $250,000.”

The third attorney looks at the other two with a shocked expression.
“I can’t believe you two! I enclosed a check for the entire amount!”

Day 11:New Baltimore, Wolcott Farms

Art Prints

Man!! It’s really cooled off, too much of a good thing. It’s going to get down in the 40s tonight.

We decided to take a short trip to Wolcott Metro-park Farm Center.
Wolcott

A really nice working farm just north of New Baltimore. It is a real farm that is open to the public so city slickers can learn how life is on the farm. It was nice being up close and personal with cows and horses again, it’s been a while.

The kids, and grandma really enjoyed playing on the tractor.

A short snack and we all decided to drive south to Mt. Clemmons to visit Jeanne’s parents grave site, and stop at Costco for ice cream.

Three Religious Truths

Three Religious Truths

I was reminded of this joke when a friend in Oklahoma, where I
was visiting last week, told me about a liquor store there which, in the
old days, had a “Baptist Window”. That, he explained, was a
pass-through from the store into the back alley, where Baptists would
come to get their liquor — and not be seen by neighbors.

Three Religious Truths

1. Jews do not recognize Jesus as the Messiah.

2. Protestants do not recognize the Pope as the leader of the Christian faith.

The wisdom of our ancestors

The wisdom of our ancestors

There is an extreme shortage of common sense in today’s world, When looking back in history, I soon discovered this has always been a problem, Benjamin Franklin once said, ”Of all the senses, common sense seems to be the one that is used the least.” As obvious as it may seem, many seem to be totally oblivious to it. Most, if not all of the problems the world faces today could be solved if people would just sit back and think about what would seem to be the most obvious and simple solution to any issue. Often times people tend to over complicate the issues. I often think back to what my parents and grandparents believed and said, at the time I thought they were totally out of their mind and ignored it. I now wish I would have listened and followed their advice. It is now evident they were a lot smarter than we gave them credit for. Many times, in today’s world, the schools and universities can no longer be counted on to teach truth and values that will guide someone through life.

Available in both hard copy and ebook format.

Will Aliens Rush in to Save Us?

Your favorite online ESOTERIC store

There is a common thought that when the earth enters it’s final days,  aliens will rush in and save us from destruction.

While anything is possible, why would this happen?

Don’t we, especially as Americans, believe in free will? After all, that is the primary purpose America was created, so we could ultimately practice our free will. We believe very strongly that we as individuals create our own destiny. We believe that the entire life journey is predicated on the idea of free will.

So if our whole life purpose is based on free will, then in God’s name how could some outside force come in, change our experience and save us from ourself? How can aliens come in and give us peace?

You are here to grow and transform, you cannot grow and transform if someone else is doing the growing and transforming for you. People don’t like being told what to do, how are they going to come in and make decisions like that? No one would listen to what they had to say, and most wouldn’t even believe they were here in the first place.
Sphinx at sunset

About the only thing humans agree on is that breathing is necessary to sustain life, most don’t even agree on how to breath. The only one who really knows the answer to your problems is you, how can someone else tell you how to live or save your life?

Without question, there are other life forms besides the ones on  planet earth, and they are interacting with us, but they each have their own agenda, and some are here to help and some to hinder our lives, but they are not going to save us, or destroy us unless our free will lets that happen, our life is determined by what we do and how we react to the situations life presents us.

We may not consciously choose everything life presents us with, but our destiny is determined  by how we react to what challenges we encounter, and the world isn’t going to end anytime real soon, and no one is going to save us, but ourselves.

Enlightenment

At this period of time in the history of man, there is probably more individual searching being done into the theories behind the origin of the human race, what happens after death, the possibility of life on other planets, and what our relationship is to these life forms, if they do exist. There are millions of people who are questioning the existence of God, who he really is, and what is my relationship with him? Is he someone who mysteriously floats around on a cloud watching and judging us from above like some bigger than life Santa Claus, or is he, like many of the esoteric sciences claim, a part of our inner Self, whom we have constant contact with, someone whom we and everything in the universe are connected and are thus one? Each of us in our own way is experiencing what God is, and thus we are each a part of God, thus we are God! This book is a brief account of my search for my own truth as I know it today, everything stated actually happened, according to my own perception. It has been an exciting search,at times very frustrating, very rewarding, and above all, very fulfilling. My main purpose in writing this book is to show that anyone, even a bashful unfamous country boy can have these awakenings, you don’t have to be rich or well-known to find your connection to Divine Source.

Available in both PAPERBACK and EBOOK format.

The Top Ten Rules of Life

The Top 10 Rules of Life

These may sound funny, but they’re quite true (especially #10).

1. Never give yourself a haircut when drinking.

2. You need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn’t
move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn’t, use duct tape.

3. Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.

4. When you make a mistake, make amends immediately — it’s easier to eat crow while it’s still warm.

5. The best advice that your mother ever gave you was, “Go! You might meet somebody!”

Multi-angle smartphone stand

6. If they say you are too good for him/her, believe them.

7. Learn to pick your battles; ask yourself, “Will this matter one year from now? One month? One week? One day?”

8. Never pass up an opportunity to pee.

9. Living well really is the best revenge. Being miserable because of
a bad or former relationship may mean the other person was right about
you.

10. You can’t demand something as a “right” unless you are willing to
fight to death to defend everyone else’s right to the same thing.

The Transformation

We
all, at certain times in our life undergo a life changing event that
can bring much hardship and distress to us. With it often comes physical
and mental changes in the way we think and deal with daily life.

Just
as when someone enters the military, they are pretty much unchanged for
the first few days, regardless of how much they are yelled at or
disciplined , they remain the same individual until they get the haircut
and a uniform.

Suddenly,
after receiving a shearing and the personality that identified them
through their hair suddenly vanishes, they are transformed. No longer
are they the person they were five minutes ago, now they are a unit,
many transformed into one.

So
it is in our daily lives, a total transformation always includes a
physical transformation as well, you cannot have one without the other.
When we change on the inside, we also change on the outside, whatever is
going on inside of us always comes to fruition on the physical level.
That is why our physical appearance is so important.

Not
that we all need to be ,or can be a raving gorgeous specimen of human
existence, but our appearance and demeanor do send a message to the
outside world of what is going on inside us and our attitude to and of
the world.

It
is seen all the time , after an individual undergoes an extremely
difficult situation in their life, they are transformed. Many times they
look older and beaten for the experience, but many times they take on a
new demeanor whereby they look and act much younger than they did
earlier in life. They display as certain confidence and ease about
themselves that reflect in their appearance. They become more attractive
because of their attitude, more than physical characteristics.

The
experience has had a positive effect on them and will enable them to
avoid and deal with future issues in a more positive and understanding
way. It is often  through these so-called negative experiences we learn
and grow the most.

There
is no such thing as a negative or positive experience, it is only our
perception of it that is positive or negative. It is our responsibility
and life mission to turn it into something that will enable us to life a
better more fulfilling life.
