Bacardi Limited is headquartered in Hamilton Bermuda and has a 16-member board of directors led by the original founder’s great-great grandson, Facundo L. Bacardí.
Because the early distilleries normally was the home of many bats, they soon became a symbol of the company and thus have become it’s symbol.
Originally based in Cuba, the company was forced to leave after Castro took over the country, thus a profitable business that employed hundreds was located else where, thereby denying many Cubans of employment opportunities another victim of communist subjugation.
