Sedona has a certain mystique about it. Because of all the paranormal happenings that occur there , often times one who lives there gets caught up in the mysticism and the expectation that something of a so called wierd  nature will happen daily.

When we first moved to Sedona , we spent a lot of time hiking , it gave us much opportunity to enjoy the sunshine and beautiful scenery not afforded to people living  in the cloudy Mid West. As we lived in Sedona , the hype couldn’t be avoided concerning all the UFO sightings, abductions, past life remembrances and other phenomenon connected to Sedona.

On the day in question, we decided to hike along the Broken Arrow Trail near Bell Rock  and of course we were aware of all the possibilities of meeting aliens in this neck of the woods. Bell Rock has long been famous for UFO landings and other such irregularities.

Slowly walking up the dirt trail our thoughts were turned to the beautiful scenery surrounding us. Suddenly we began to hear rustling noises coming from the vegetation along side the trail. Stopping in our tracks we tried to determine the direction and also the cause of the sudden interruption to our peace and quiet.
Strange creature in Sedona

Looking at each other , we didn’t know how much to proceed with our investigation. It was by far too nice a day to spend being abducted to a far away galaxy. Bravely parting the limbs on a nearby Mesquite Tree, I peered  into the surrounding desert trying to find the perpetrator of the rustling sounds.

Lo and behold, I could not believe what I saw, it was astonishing! Never once would I have imagined what I saw, I didn’t even think this kind of wildlife existed in Sedona. Must be a refuge from a cattle mutilation in Colorado.
