Your Life Plan

Life plan

As we travel through life , we slowly begin to realize there is some
sort of Grand Design to not only our life , but the lives of people
around us. We slowly realize the final outcome of our life is largely
determined by the decisions we make in our youth and maybe even earlier.

Later in life we  continuously make  decisions  that shape and change our destiny.
Every
thought , word and deed we commit has a great bearing on what we
become. In spite of all this,  there is even a greater influence on our
lives, it’s the Grand Design we all agree to before entering the earth
existence.

This
Grand Design is placed in play by not only the Grand Architect of the
Universe, but it is also agreeable to by us before birth. This Grand
Plan lays out our life and the path we need to follow for the highest
level of growth and happiness.  It isn’t confining or restricting, it
only exemplifies the least we can accomplish and still reach our goals.

It
is not an iron clad agreement and we are free to change it at any time.
However, when we struggle against our mission in life , we will never
be happy or content, and we will find ourselves dissatisfied with life.
This malcontent is often at the root of many of our frustrations and
many times leads to alcoholism and various physical and emotional
ailments that can lead to much personal tragedy in life.

Many
times this Plan will push us past what we thought our physical and
emotional limits are. Many times we will feel uncomfortable and not want
to go on, this is the time we need to go outside the box and discover
new areas of expertise and strength. That is part of the Grand Design.

We
don’t all have grandiose and great missions in life, perhaps yours is
to assist someone else, or raise a child and provide a good home for a
family. These life missions are just as important , if not more
important than being a world leader. Many times our mission in life is
to just enjoy life and enjoy the fruits of our labors from a previous
existence.

Not
every lifetime can be a earth shattering experience where we make huge
contributions to society and mankind, sometimes we just need to chill
out and enjoy the earth experience. The soul needs to experience every
form of life to grow to it’s highest potential and rejoin with the God
Head.

Whatever you mission in life enjoy and take from it the knowledge you need to gain.

Learning Self Reliance

Photography Prints

Written by: Gary Wonning

During a group  discussion yesterday, a colleague of mine relayed an incident of when he was six years old. It seems he grew up in a tough neighborhood and was continuously beaten up every day on his way home from school by a group of five brothers.
One day while running home from school, the brothers started chasing him, immediately sensing danger, he made a dash for the side door of his house. Grabbing the door knob and expecting to reach the sanctuary of home , he found the door locked. Seeing his father inside he began yelling for his dad to open the door.

His father replied,”Sorry, I can’t do that son, you have to learn how to handle this problem on your own.” Turning around he saw the five brothers coming at him with a vengeance. It was now or never, so picking out the smallest of the brothers, the one he thought he could possibly take down, they immediately began to fight.

The battle became extremely violent and bitter with neither one willing to give up. After a what seemed long battle a truce was reached and the conflict ended. As soon as the wounds healed, they became best of friends and there would be no more fights.

His mother was very unhappy with dad, however, dad and son finally convinced her of the wisdom of the choice and life went on, despite the torn clothing. Because of this incident, the son learned much about life that he could not have been taught any other way.

This happened many years ago, before political correctness. In today’s world the father would have probably been sued for child abuse. What a shame.

Now, I’m not one to advocate violence, but as a youth I had been involved in similar circumstances, and even as an adult, although it didn’t come to blows, I have had a couple occasions where major conflicts have  arisen.

In all cases, when the conflict was solved to the mutual agreement of all concerned , we have become good friends. We are all human beings, a part of the animal kingdom, and like it or not, there is and always will be a pecking order. that is a fact of nature, nothing will ever change that.

As we go through life, in all relationships, boundaries are established. In most cases, these boundaries can be established by peaceful means. However, there will always be times when as a last resort, we must take drastic measures.

This is true, not only on a personal level but a world level as well. We must remember there are some people who don’t like us, and even some who would like to do us in, that will never change.

In today’s world, often times kids are pampered and every little problem is solved for them by some well meaning adult. Little does this adult realize how much they are harming the child by not letting them solve their own problems.

How is this person going to learn to solve the many problems of adulthood if they are denied the privilege of learning this as a child when the consequences are a lot less? In our zeal to establish a perfect society, we have forgotten the basic principle of life. Each and every person has to be responsible for themselves and be able to take care of themselves.

When we deny them that important learning lesson, we are doing them a great disservice,  it actually does them a tremendous amount of harm by not teaching them to be  self-reliant.

George Koritzer

There is an extreme shortage of common sense in today’s world, When looking back in history, I soon discovered this has always been a problem, Benjamin Franklin once said, ”Of all the senses, common sense seems to be the one that is used the least.” As obvious as it may seem, many seem to be totally oblivious to it. Most, if not all of the problems the world faces today could be solved if people would just sit back and think about what would seem to be the most obvious and simple solution to any issue. Often times people tend to overcomplicate the issues. I often think back to what my parents and grandparents believed and said, at the time I thought they were totally out of their mind and ignored it. I now wish I would have listened and followed their advice. It is now evident they were a lot smarter than we gave them credit for. Many times, in today’s world, the schools and universities can no longer be counted on to teach truth and values that will guide someone through life.

Make Time for photography

Working a full time job, saving time for family and friends and trying to maintain a social life makes it extremely hard to save time for a passion like photography. Photography in itself can consume a lot of time and energy, especially if one is engaged in photographing scenics or wildlife photos.

When photographing any sort of nature photography, whether it be landscapes, scenics, or wildlife subjects there are many factors to consider, you can’t just schedule an appointment.  One must take into account many things such as lightning, the habits of the wildlife you want to photograph and the amount of time to get in position for your prize winning photo.

Juggling all of this with a life can be quite a challenge. Probably one of best ways to get started and be organized is to make a schedule of when you have time to pursue your hobby. Only by setting aside a certain time every week and sticking to it is the only way to not be distracted and lose your  focus.

Make time for photography

Another excellent way to get quality photos is to always carry a camera with you. You never know when that prize winning shot will spring up in front of you. Many times , with today’s technology, a cell phone or point and shoot camera is more than adequate to get you a high resolution photo suitable for whatever you would like to use it for.

Always be thinking of how you can take quality photos in the small amount of time you have. Just by staying focused, opportunities will present themselves  whereby one can get good photos will very little expenditure of time and effort.

These are just a few helpful hints to make your new hobby fun, enjoable, and maybe even a little profitable .

The Fortune Teller

The Fortune
Teller

During a recent publicity outing, Jennifer
sneaked off to visit a
fortune teller of some local repute.

In a dark and hazy room,
peering into a crystal ball, the mystic delivered grave news.
“There’s no easy way to say this, so I’ll just be blunt: Prepare
yourself to be a widow. Your husband will die a violent and
horrible death this year.

Visibly shaken, Jennifer stared at the woman’s lined face, then
at the single flickering candle, then down at her hands. She took
a few deep breaths to compose herself. She simply had to know.
She met the fortune teller’s gaze, steadied her voice, and asked
her question.

“Will I be acquitted?”

The Will of God

It
is not always easy for us to know what God’s Will is. There are many
misconceptions about what is meant. Many fundamentalists believe it
means a life of sacrifice and giving up all of life’s  pleasures.

Nothing
can be further from the truth, God would not have provided all that he
has if he had meant for us to not partake in the rewards of life. While
it is true some sacrifice is involved, life isn’t meant to be all work
and no play.

While
there is some sacrifice involved, it only means giving up some of our
animalistic instincts and developing self control. It means taking control of your life and treating others as you would be treated.

It
means living by the Will of God, or doing as your higher self or God
would desire you to do. This is different for every one, we each come
into this life with different life paths to follow. Hence doing “your”
Will of God can be different than someone else’s.

In
a way it has more to do with following that small voice inside each of
us and allowing it to guide us in making the right decisions in life.
It has much to do with character building, probably even more than
treating others correctly. If we work on improving ourselves, then
treating others correctly will come naturally.

Forgiveness
is important, however that doesn’t mean we always give others a free
pass on their transgressions. They also need to be accountable for their
deeds.  It means providing others a means to learn, grow, and provide
for their basic needs. It doesn’t mean providing a handout unless they
are unable to provide for themselves.

When
their karma is interfered with and we take the opportunity from them to
support themselves and families, a great injustice is done to them.
They then become slaves to the providers, that is not God’s Will. God
wants all of us to be free to make our own decisions and learn and grow
from the experience.

God’s
Will can mean many things to many people depending upon how they were
taught growing up. However, there are as many misconceptions in this
field as there are in any phase of life. I strongly feel following the
Will of God has less to do with how we treat others and more to do with
following the guidance we receive from “The Source”. If we follow the
true instincts felt in our gut, we will be following the Will of God,
and all other aspects of our life will fall into place.

Change the Direction of our Country

Much has been said about changing the direction the country is headed, recent polls show that a large majority of the American people believe the country is and has been headed in the wrong direction for quite some time.
This is a problem that has developed over the last several decades and as a result there is no fast fix. Thankfully, because of the internet, and the easy access to information, more and more people are becoming interested in the political future of their nation and realize that something must be done in order to protect our freedom and capitalistic way of life.

This is all well and good and is the way it should be, our government was formed to provide for government by the people, not special interest groups. The quick fix to saving our way of life is to get involved and stay informed. Thankfully the Tea Party is providing a way to counteract some of the disgusting things going on in Washington.

This will only last so long, sooner or later the people involved in rectifying things will be getting older and unable to carry the ball.
Sooner or later the youth will take over. Regretfully, many of them have been misinformed and thereby don’t understand the way life and our country works.

They have grown up in an entitlement society, this has been brought on not only by the liberal left trying to convince them that government can provide all their wants and needs, but also by organized labor and private enterprise providing them everything one would want as far as money and benefits, including health care.

The idea that one could reap many benefits by working for someone else isn’t all bad. There is nothing wrong with employees sharing in the wealth a company enjoys because the employees have given much in time , effort and creativity, thereby providing much opportunity for the economic growth of the employer.

However because of this, an atmosphere of dependency has been created. Today in many cases it is now easier and more profitable to work for someone else than to start one’s own business. With all the taxes and regulations imposed by the government, a hostile environment has been created.

Much of this has been intentional by elected  government officials, the more dependent we are on them, the more likely we will elect them back into office, and it is only natural for most people to take the easy way out and seek the path of least resistance.

The problem now is the path of least resistance has now become a very rocky road. People have come to believe they deserve something for nothing, and that all of big business is evil. This needs to change.

The only long term solution is to start educating our children in the proper role of government and business. This has to start at home and in the schools. At this stage of the game it won’t be easy. Many educators now believe that socialism is the answer to all our problems and they have forgotten the basic principles of the founding of our country.

We need to have school choice, whereby if a parent didn’t like the things his child was being taught, the children could be sent to another school. Create competition among the schools, there is money attached to the backs of each child. If the schools have to compete for these dollars, they will improve.

In the early days of this country, a lot of schooling was provided by religious organizations. There are downfalls to this plan, but it would probably work better than the present system. The schools have gotten too large, when any organization gets too large, it becomes wasteful and corrupt.

Our country was founded on the principle that we keep government out of religion, not religion out of government. Myself, when I was in elementary school, the whole school went to church for an hour on Friday afternoon. We had three choices, Catholic, Baptist and Lutheran, the only three churches in town.  This was a good thing, as for many students, this was their only chance to learn moral principles, as some of  their parents had none.

I think this can be proven, I contend that most small rural schools provide a much better learning environment and education than their counterparts in the larger cities. When schools are smaller, it creates a more personal environment and the learning can be more hands on, smaller class sizes aren’t that important, what is important is discipline and self control.

Only when students no longer feel like a number and realize their opinion does mean something, they begin to realize there is a better way than having someone supply all your wants and needs. There is something to be said for self reliance.
