Egypt: Luxor and Karnak

Luxor and Karnak

Your favorite EGYPTIAN store

Arriving in Luxor by overnight  train from Giza, our first stop was the Winter Palace to have  breakfast. It was then we found out we had no  accommodations for the evening. The new Sheraton that was to be our home was not yet finished. It took some convincing, but
we finally decided our luggage would be safe in the hotel lobby while we spent the day sightseeing.

So it was off on a horse drawn carriage to Karnak. This ancient temple is over a half mile wide and over 3 miles long ,it is so massive, it took several Pharaohs years to complete. We spent the morning enjoying this magnificent structure, with a promise to return to the light show after dark.

With a short break for  lunch at a restaurant overlooking the Nile River and the Valley of the dead, it was off to enjoy all that Luxor had to offer. we returned to the Winter Palace just in time for dinner. Miraculously, our luggage was still there, but our room wasn’t. It was
brought to our attention the manager of the Winter Palace had a  10 room house across the Nile where a few of us could spend the night, visions of butlers and crystal chandeliers crossed our minds as we accepted the offer. We felt privileged to have been the chosen ones. We found out later that some were put up in an abandoned house that had been repainted just that day. They had to literally carry the parts to their bed inside and make it themselves.

Since we hadn’t showered or shaved in two days, a major clean up was in order. Our host took us to another motel and checked us in for an
hour, boys in one room girls in the other. I was about 5th in line for a shower, only problem was , the drain didn’t work and there was no shower
curtain, the water was spraying all over the bathroom, and the dirty water was flowing over the lip of the shower stall and was running into
the bed room. I figured my feet would rot off at any time. Oh well at least I’m clean, I think.

Off to  the Karnak light show, riding in a bus , the driver could only turn his lights on when meeting another vehicle, if someone is in the middle of
the road, the horn was blown. No horn button, the horn wire was touched to the steering column thus creating a connection which would blow the horn. We only hit one person on the way, and that was a glancing blow. So all in all it was a good trip.

My First Out of Body Experience

YOUR FAVORITE PARANORMAL ONLINE STORE

My first out of body experience occurred many years ago. At the time I had begun having flash backs to previous life times .These instances were happening randomly and suddenly.  Suddenly I would be in Egypt or Colonial Virgina or some where else. I wasn’t concerned  that I was losing it mentally though I did have a desire that find out what was going on and why this was happening to me and no one else that I knew.

I had scheduled a hypnotic session the following week where I  hoped to have a past life regression and somehow solve the mystery.  I  would soon learn, that session would be the first of many.  Up to this time I had only read about things of this nature and knew no one personally who had undergone this sort of experience. It had taken me months to build up the courage to actually do it.

Photography Prints

As was our usual custom, our family went out for Sunday dinner and upon arriving home I intended to turn on football, and  lay down on the couch for my highly anticipated and well-deserved Sunday afternoon nap. I immediately fell asleep and slept soundly for about an hour. Waking up, I decided another little nap was in order, so I rolled over and fell back to  sleep. Suddenly my whole body began to vibrate and as it did it started rising above the couch. Looking down I could see  I was  laying on my left side with my left arm above my head, the lower part of my body began to rise probably four feet above the couch. Startled, and with a jolt, I immediately checked back into my body resting on the couch.

Thinking about it for a minute, it didn’t seem like such a big deal and I knew I had to find out what was causing this and what the outcome would be. I decided to relax again, soon my whole body was vibrating again and as I  rose above the couch,   I could see my left arm was clutching onto a silver cord or rod, I instinctively knew if I let go of that silver cord, I would  leave the earth existence and pass on. I almost let go but then realized I had much to accomplish on earth and hung on.As that thought passed through my mind, I immediately settled back into my body and woke up.

As I advanced in my knowledge, I could hardly wait until the time when I would learn how to leave my human form and travel any where I wanted and then return  at will.

Enlightenment

At this period of time in the history of man, there is probably more individual searching being done into the theories behind the origin of the human race, what happens after death, the possibility of life on other planets, and what our relationship is to these life forms, if they do exist. There are millions of people who are questioning the existence of God, who he really is, and what is my relationship with him? Is he someone who mysteriously floats around on a cloud watching and judging us from above like some bigger than life Santa Claus, or is he, like many of the esoteric sciences claim, a part of our inner Self, whom we have constant contact with, someone whom we and everything in the universe are connected and are thus one? Each of us in our own way is experiencing what God is, and thus we are each a part of God, thus we are God! This book is a brief account of my search for my own truth as I know it today, everything stated actually happened, according to my own perception. It has been an exciting search, at times very frustrating, very rewarding, and above all, very fulfilling. My main purpose in writing this book is to show that anyone, even a bashful unfamous country boy can have these awakenings, you don’t have to be rich or well-known to find your connection to Divine Source.

The Ski Trip

The Ski Trip

Doug decided to go skiing with his buddy, Bob. They loaded up
Jack’s mini van and headed north. After driving for a few hours, they
got caught in a terrible blizzard. They pulled into a nearby farm and
asked the attractive lady who answered the door if they could spend the
night.

“I realize it’s terrible weather out there and I have this huge
house all to myself, but I’m recently widowed,” she explained. “I’m
afraid the neighbors will talk if I let you stay in my house.”

“Don’t worry,” Doug said. “We’ll be happy to sleep in the barn. And if the weather breaks, we’ll be gone at first light.”

The lady agreed, and the two men found their way to the barn and
settled in for the night. Come morning, the weather had cleared, and
they got on their way.

They enjoyed a great weekend of skiing.

About nine months later, Doug got an unexpected letter from an attorney.

It took him a few minutes to figure it out, but he finally determined
that it was from the attorney of that attractive widow he had met on
the ski weekend.

He dropped in on his friend Bob and asked, “Bob, do you remember that
good-looking widow from the farm we stayed at on our ski holiday up
North?”

“Yes, I do.”

“Did you happen to get up in the middle of the night, go up to the house and pay her a visit?”

“Yes,” Bob said, a little embarrassed about being found out. “I have to admit that I did.”

“And did you happen to use my name instead of telling her your name?”

Bob’s face turned red and he said, “Yeah, sorry, buddy. I’m afraid I did. Why do you ask?”

“She just died and left me everything.”

(But you thought the ending would be different, didn’t you?)

The First Day of School

On the first day of classes in 2011:

To the students and faculty of our high school: I am your new principal, and honored to be so. There is no
greater calling than to teach young people.

I would like to apprise you of some important changes coming to our
school.
I am making these changes because I am convinced that most of the
ideas that have dominated public education in America have worked against you,
against your teachers, against your parents, and against our country. Therefore: First, this school will no longer honor race or ethnicity. I
could not care less if your racial makeup is black, brown, red,
yellow, or white. I could not care less if your origins are African, Latin
American, Asian, or European, or if your ancestors arrived here on the
Mayflower or on slave ships. The only identity I care about, the only one this
school will recognize, is your individual identity — your character, your
scholarship, your humanity. And the only national identity this school will care
about is American. This is an American public school, and American public
schools were created to make better Americans. If you wish to affirm an ethnic, racial, or religious identity
through your school, you will have to go elsewhere. We will end all ethnicity-,
race- and non-American-nationality-based celebrations.. They undermine the
motto of America , one of its three central values — E Pluribus Unum —
“from many, one.”And this school will be guided by America’s values. That includes all
after-school clubs. I will not authorize clubs that divide students
based on any identities. This includes race, language, religion, sexual
orientation, or whatever else may become in vogue in a society divided by political
correctness. Your clubs will be based on interests and passions — not
blood, ethnic, racial or other physically defined ties. Those clubs
just cultivate narcissism — an unhealthy preoccupation with the self —
while the purpose of education is to get you to think beyond yourself.
So, we will have clubs that transport you to the wonders and glories of art, music,
astronomy, languages you do not already speak, math, carpentry, and
more. If the only extracurricular activities you can imagine being
interested in are those based on ethnic or racial or sexual identity, that means that
little outside of yourself really interests you.

Second, I am not interested in whether or not English is your native
language. My only interest in terms of language is that you leave this
school speaking and writing English as fluently as possible. The
English language has united America’s citizens for more than 200 years, and
it will unite us at this school. It is one of the indispensable reasons
this country of immigrants has always come to be one country. And if you leave this
school without excellent English-language skills, I will have been
remiss in my duty to ensure that you are prepared to compete successfully in the
American job market. We will learn other languages here — it is
deplorable that most Americans only speak English. But if you want classes
taught in your native language rather than in English, this is not your school.

Third, because I regard learning as a sacred endeavor, everything
in this school will reflect learning’s elevated status. This means, among other
things, that you and your teachers will dress accordingly. Many
people in our society dress more formally for a meal at a nice restaurant
than they do for church or school. Those people have their priorities backwards.
Therefore, there will be a formal dress code at this school.

Fourth, no obscene language will be tolerated anywhere on this school’s
property — whether in class, in the hallways or at athletic
events. If you can’t speak without using the “F-word,” you can’t speak. By obscene
language I mean the words banned by the Federal Communications Commission plus
epithets such as the “N-word,” even when used by one black student to
address another, or “bitch,” even when addressed by a girl to a
girlfriend.
It is my intent that by the time you leave this school, you will be
among the few of your age to distinguish instinctively between the
elevated and the degraded, the holy and the obscene.Fifth, we will end all self-esteem programs. In this school,
self-esteem will be attained in only one way — the way people attained it
until the state of California decided otherwise a generation ago — by
earning it.
One immediate consequence of this is that there will be only one class
valedictorian, not eight.Sixth, and last, I am reorienting the school toward academics and
away from politics and propaganda. No more time will be devoted to scaring
you about smoking and caffeine, or terrifying you about sexual harassment or
global warming. No more semesters will be devoted to condom-wearing and
teaching you to regard sexual relations as only or primarily a health issue.
There will be no more attempts to convince you that you are a victim
because you are not white, or not male, or not heterosexual, or not Christian.
We will have failed, if any one of you graduates from this school and does not
consider himself or herself inordinately lucky — to be alive and
to be an American. Now, please stand and join me in the Pledge of Allegiance to the
flag of the United States of America. As many of you do not know the words, your
teachers will hand them out to you. Gary has been a writer/ photographer for over 20 years, specializing in nature, landscapes and studying native cultures.Besides visiting most of the United States, he has traveled to such places as Egypt, the Canary Islands, much of the Caribbean. Egypt :Ancient History

Egypt: Saqqara and Memphis

Your favorite EGYPTIAN store

Bright and early the next morning we were off to Memphis and Saqqara, two of the most ancient cities in Egypt. Saqqara is the home of some of the most ancient Egyptian pyramids, including  King Zosar’s step pyramid and the pyramid of  Unas, the last pharaoh of the 5th dynasty.

King Zosar was the fist or second king of the 3rd dynasty of the old kingdom and ruled around 2650 B.C. He ruled for 19 years, which is believed long enough for his pyramid to have been completed before his death. His pyramid is unique in the fact it was built in 6 steps . it is the only pyramid in Egypt that was constructed in this way.

Unas built his pyramid, originally called “Beautiful are the Places of Unas”, near Zosar’s pyramid in Saqqara. He ruled  in the mid 2300s B.C. When he passed, the 5th dynasty came to an end, although he had two queens(Nebet and Khenut) he probably had no sons.

Ancient Memphis was founded in 2925 BCE by King Menes and was long known as the capital of Egypt and as such was the home to many of the early pharaohs including Ramses 2. Ramses is generally believed to have  been the Pharaoh during the Exodus, and as a consequence, many artifacts from Ramse’s time still adorn the country side.

Wanting to get one more site in before departing for Luxor we stopped at Giza to tour the giant pyramid of Cheops, however the crowds were so great we decided to try another day. After having lunch in the Mena Hotel, it was time to head to the Giza train station for our trip to Luxor, Karnak, and theValley of the Dead.

As is the case everywhere in Egypt, the train was extremely crowded .Five of our group couldn’t get a train until the last one which left at 8:30 PM. Our tour guide decided to take the rest of the group on an earlier train, so he
left us , the younger and single crowd with his brother in charge and went on ahead .It was really a unique experience as we were able to spend some time in this tea room. The cafe had no doors, a dirt floor and the nickel glass of tea had about a half inch of tea grounds in the       bottom.

We finally caught the last train out. I was pleasantly surprised, the train was
actually quite modern with excellent accommodations. A light dinner and off to bed in a semi private sleeper coach. Traveling through the Egyptian desert  at a
relatively high speed we reached Luxor about 8 the next morning.

The $20 Dollar Bill

Written by; Gary Wonning

A well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill. In the room of 200, he asked. “Who would like this $20 bill?”

Hands started going up. He said, “I am going to give this $20 to one of you – but first, let me do this.”

He proceeded to crumple the 20 dollar note up. He then asked. “Who still wants it?” Still the hands were up in the air.

“Well,” he replied, “what if I do this?” He dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up,now crumpled and dirty. “Now, who still wants it?”

Still the hands went into the air.

“My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20.Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless; but no matter what happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.

Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who love you. The worth of our lives comes, not in what we door who we know, but by …WHO WE ARE.

You are special – don’t ever forget it.

America is in serious trouble, many no longer realize what values and principles our country is founded on and have strayed from the common sense and creative thinking of our ancestors, how can we fix it?

Twin Flames

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 1 V. 27

“And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam and he slept: and he
took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the
rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought
her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and
flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out
of Man.”
Genesis 2 V.21 to 23

So, what does this all mean, how many times have we read this passage and not really paid any attention as to what the hidden meaning could be. Could it be the ancient texts are trying to tell us the very same things that are being relayed to us via the esoteric teachings? If we were created in  God’s image, it only makes sense to originally have been created as a dual gender being.

Now you can follow me on Kindle.

There is only one God, not a male and a female God, so if we were created in his image, we would be both genders in one physical body. I have read that passage many times and it never struck me as to what it could mean until now. To me  it makes perfect sense. Man was lonely, and he couldn’t reproduce without the female form of his own being, thus the soul split and became two.

We each have many soul mates, those whom we reincarnate time after time, over and over again. through these reincarnations we create and settle karma, time and time again we build up relationships that will last through eternity. We have souls we become extremely attached to, forming physical relationships that give us much pleasure as well as heartache. This is what the earth experience is all about.

However, we have only one twin flame, the other half of our soul.Twin flames are the yin and yang on the highest level. Many times in the past, we may have thought we have met our twin flame, however, most likely it was a soul mate with whom we have strong physical attachments.

Twin Flames

We have now reached a point in the evolution of man where the vibrational frequencies of the earth have reached a level where twin flames can unite. When the two aspects of the soul come together , it creates a magnetic charge which changes our DNA, thus we actually become another aspect which vibrates at a higher frequency than we have known previously. As this happens, the cellular structure of our being changes and we begin remembering our past with our twin flame.

There is no union stronger than this when the time is right , nothing can keep them apart. Often times, when one looks into the eyes of their twin, they see themselves and feel as though they are one. The emotions come straight from the heart and cannot be denied. As we approach 2012, the world and it’s inhabitants have some interesting times.
