Illegal Immigration

Illegal Immigration

Unless you are an American Indian , we all came from somewhere else and are thus immigrants. (Even they originally came from somewhere else.)

The difference is, when most of our ancestors  came here from other countries, they endured many hardships, often coming over from Europe and other lands on overcrowded boats, living in squander.

Upon arriving in America, they were grateful to have the opportunity to start a new life, free from tyranny and persecution. Many cleared forest land with nothing but a dull ax, planting crops between stumps until the stumps could be removed. They asked for nothing from the government and would have been insulted if any aid had been given to them.

They endured severe weather, attacks from Indians and many other hardships. neighbor helped neighbor, as they settled in communities and adapted to life in their new world. They adopted to American customs, learned English, went to school and church and were a benefit to society.

My, how times have changed, now far too many  immigrants sneak into our country, bringing drugs and crime with them. If they were coming for the right reasons, why would they have to sneak in?

They come here not to start a new life and contribute to society, but in many cases reap the rewards our land has to offer. No longer do the majority come to blend in, now they come to bring their customs with them, the customs that destroyed their way of life in their home land. They come to receive a handout, and when it is given , they become angry with America for not giving them more. Instead of working their way up the economic ladder, they want everything given to them , they are entitled to it is their way of thinking. They don’t realize how long and hard people have worked to gain the standard of living they have. No doubt not all immigrants who come here fit this profile, but it has become apparent that way too many do.

Many times the first generation immigrants come here and work hard to give their children a better life than was available in their native land. Their children in turn lose all appreciation of what they have , become bitter and join gangs, thereby contributing to violence. This leads me to believe there is something wrong with our educational system, they aren’t being taught good values and traditions , if the schools and other institutions were doing their job, they would  be better citizens.

Americans have spilled much blood and endured many hardships to enjoy the life we have. Most Americans appreciate how fortunate we are as a nation  and are more than willing to share it with the world. However people coming to this country have to realize there is a price to be paid for freedom and economic opportunity.

If the illegal immigrants spent as much time and energy improving their own country as thhey do tearing down ours,They would enjoy the same benefits they do here and improve their county at the same time.

It is time for everyone , including the immigrants who migrate here legally to stand up and support immigration laws that stop the influx of illegal immigrants who not only break the law by coming here in the first place, but continue to be a drag on our society after they arrive.

Reverend Wright: President Barack Hussein Obama's Spiritual Adviser

Reverend Wright: Obama’s Spiritual adviser

Fox News

CHICAGO — He’s been keeping such a low profile since nearly derailing Barack Obama’s campaign for president in2008 — is it possible that the controversial Rev. Jeremiah Wright has mellowed?

Hardly.

During a five-day seminar Wright taught last week in Chicago, he was back at it, claiming that whites and Jews are controlling the flow of worldwide information and oppressing blacks in Israel and America .

“White folk done took this country,” Wright said. “You’re in their home, and they’re gonna let you know it.”

The course, advertised as focusing on politics and public policy in South Africa and America, was taught in a small,ground-floor room at the Chicago Theological Seminary, where Wright’s voice echoed out an open window. The class was composed of about 15 to 20 students, mainly older African-American women who would arrive early and giddily linger during lunch breaks and after class, looking for the reverend’s attention. (The course cost a little over $1,000 if taken for college credit and $300 if taken without.)

The absence of young people was telling: The lectures seemed ossified, relics of a pre-civil-rights America — a point that Obama himself made during his famous speech on race in March 2008, prompted by the incendiary comments (“God damn America!”) made by his former pastor and mentor.

“Not once in my conversations with him have I heard him talk about any ethnic group in derogatory terms, or treat whites with whom he interacted with anything but courtesy and respect,” Obama said.

Yet during this course — which was described as asking, “What is the response and public witness of persons of faith to ongoing developments in both countries?” — Wright made many statements about what he believes are the true aims of whites and Jews.

“You are not now, nor have you ever been, nor will you ever be a brother to white folk,” he said. “And if you do not realize that, you are in serious trouble.”

He cited the writings of Bill Jones-author of the book “Is God a White Racist?” — as proof that white people cannot be trusted. “Bill said, ‘They just killed four of their own at Kent State. They’ll step on you like a cockroach and keep on movin’, cause you not a brother to them.’ “

Wright referred to Italians as “Mamma Luigi” and “pizzeria.” He said the educational system in America is designed by whites to mis educate blacks “not by benign neglect but by malignant intent.”

He said Ethiopian Jews are despised by white Jews: “And now the Knesset [Israeli parliament] is meeting with European Jews, voting on whether or not these African Jews can get into [Israel].”

The civil-rights movement, Wright said, was never about racial equality: “It was always about becoming white . .. to master what [they] do.” Martin Luther King, he said, was misguided for advocating nonviolence among his people, “born in the oven of America.”

“We probably have more African-Americans who’ve been brainwashed than we have South Africans who’ve been brainwashed,” he said, and seemed to alluded to President Obama twice: “Unfortunately, I got in trouble with a fella for saying this . . . All your commentaries are written by oppressors.” At the mention of Nation of Islam head Louis Farankhan– whom Obama disavowed during the campaign — black leaders “go cuttin’ and duckin’,” he said.

In March, Wright told The Washington Post that he expects to speak to Obama again, when”he is out of the White House.” Last June, he told a Virginia newspaper that the only reason he and the president were not speaking at the moment is that “them Jews ain’t going to let him talk to me.”

From 1972 until May 2008, Wright served as pastor of Trinity United Church of Chicago, located in a rough area of the city’s South Side.Today, he is “pastor emeritus” and identified as such on the rugs that line the doorways at Trinity.

Until very recently, Wright lived with his wife and children in a nearby two-story house, in a more affluent subdivision surrounded by roadblocks; the line between rich and poor is literal. His former neighbors all say he kept to himself.

A few months ago, Wright and his family moved into a brand-new million-dollar home located near a golf course and made of stone with a recessed doorway surrounded by pillars. It’s the only house on a cul-de-sac. Records show it was sold by Trinity United Church to a company called ATG Trust and paid for in cash.

Since leavingTrinity, Wright has traveled the country, preaching and lecturing. He said he’s been working “all year long” with Trinity’s preschool program and called US Education Secretary Arne Duncan a disaster. Duncan, a former college basketball star, was given the job only because Obama enjoys his “good jump shot in the backyard,” Wright said.

Wright gives interviews intermittently but declined to speak to The Post. He recently headlined a two-day “men’s empowerment revival” in Florida but in mixed company is careful not to say anything racist or inflammatory.

The most he had to say about the African-American experience that day was “God is working on your behalf.”

Birds of a feather flock together.

Most thinking people are dismayed that President Obama was reelected for a second term of office. Many are worried that America as we know it will be no longer, falling into socialism and become a welfare state. Many fear worse that we will fall to communism or Marxism.

The situation doesn’t look good; from all indications that is exactly where we are headed. But be not dismayed.

Pirate's Misfortunes

Pirate’s Misfortunes

A pirate was talking to a “land-lubber” in a bar. The land-lubber noticed that, like any self-respecting pirate, this guy had a peg leg,a hook in place of one of his hands, and a patch over one eye. The land-lubber just had to find out how the pirate got in such bad shape. He asked the pirate, “How did you lose your leg?”

The pirate responded, “I lost me leg in a battle off the coast of Jamaica !” His new acquaintance was still curious so he asked, “What about you hand. Did you lose it at the same time?”

“No,” answered the pirate. “I lost it to the sharks off the Florida Keys .” Finally, the land-lubber asked, “I notice you also have an eye patch. How did you lose your eye?”

The pirate answered, “I was sleeping on a beach when a seagull flew over and crapped right in me eye.” The land-lubber asked: “How could a little seagull crap make you loose your eye?”

The pirate snapped, “It was the day after I got me hook!”

Tornado April 3rd, 1974

Tornadoes

Probably one of the most devastating weather days in America was April 3rd,1974 when 147 tornadoes struck in 12 states.

In southeastern Indiana, it was turning into a stereotypical stormy spring  day. The weather was extremely unsettled, one minute the sun was shining, the next raining and the next a hail storm would be descending upon us.

Driving was extremely hazardous, the wind was blowing constantly while changing direction and speed every minute. From past experience and knowing the time of year, it had to be realized, something extremely bad was going to happen. About noon the storm warnings started being posted, everything from severe storms, hail and tornado watches were seen everywhere in the midwest. This was not going to be a good day.

It was about 4 PM when I heard a warning had been sounded for the area I was traveling, Switzerland County which borders the Ohio River near Madison. A large tornado had been spotted in Jefferson County, southwest of us. The tornado was reported to be in Madison and was creating widespread destruction as it traveled in the traditional northeasterly direction.

Looking to the southwest, I saw the granddaddy of them all. The whole sky seemed to be one gigantic funnel cloud. This is not good! Later I found out when the tornado crossed the Ohio River near Madison, the river bottom,  30 feet below the water level could be seen.

Driving on, looking for cover, I came to a house where two people were standing in the yard watching the funnel cloud, I drove in and asked if they had a basement.

Their answer,”No”.

Damn, the only house in Indiana without a basement, and here I am. There was no basketball hoop either, these people aren’t real Hoosiers!

Looking upwards to the sky, It seemed the tornado was dissipating, in a hurry I decided to go on my way, wouldn’t be safe here anyway, no  basement. Might as well take my chances lying in  a ditch.

My mind was soon  changed, as I driving onto the road, as I  looked up, the tornado had again started to descend, it was so close I couldn’t see the edge of it above me.

The tornado  began to touch down, an eerie silence was felt,  only the distant  roar of the tornado force winds could be heard. Where we stood, not a leaf turned, the wind died down completely. It was like watching a movie, with as many as three funnel clouds touching down simultaneously, trees were snapping off like toothpicks, a farm implement dealer was struck, tractors, combines, and other farm implements were flying through the air with the greatest of ease. A mobile home park was in the path, mobile homes would ascend about 100 feet into the air and explode.

I was envisioning a death toll of hundreds, possibly more as the tornado had struck several larger towns and small cities. My day was over, I followed a fire truck through the destruction, they were cutting trees from the road as they traveled. People were standing alongside the roadway, most wore ashen white faces and were in total shock. It was then I found another tornado had struck close to my home and I began to worry about my family and their safety.

All in all things turned out reasonably well ,we were in pretty good shape for the mess we were in, the property destruction was major and many amazing stories of survival would surface over the next few weeks, however  as bad as even one death is, very few casualties were encountered.

baby boomers

Each generation from the beginning of our country has contributed to what our country has become. By the same token, no one is perfect. Consequently, each generation has done and will continue to perform acts that it would have been better if some other course of action was taken.
The baby boomers have contributed much and have been blamed for the decline of America. What is the true story?

Obama and the Gulf Oil Spill

Obama and the gulf oil spill

Certainly BP shares a lot of the blame for this oil spill, however , BP submitted all it plans for deep water drilling to the government, the government had to sign off and approve. In essence, BP did exactly what the government wanted, and now that something went wrong , the government wants to place all the blame on BP, I don’t think so, there is plenty of blame to go around, it is just as much the governments fault as BP.

Now Brazil is spending billions to expand it’s deep water drilling capabilities, some of that money actually came from the United States and the Obama administration, our oil rigs are headed to Brazil. Guess who we are going to be getting our oil from?

This was posted on the Rush
Limbaugh web site yesterday.

The director of Homeland Security, Big Sis Janet
Napolitano has issued a statement.  Homeland Security secretary Janet
Napolitano, also known as Big Sis, issued a statement this morning
regarding America’s two most pressing issues:  the Gulf oil spill and
President Obama’s devotion to golf.  Secretary Napolitano, speaking to
labor leaders, declared that from this day forward no one in the Obama
administration or those seeking favors or mercy from the administration
shall use the phrase Gulf oil spill.  It will now be referred to as the
BP-caused disaster.  Official language requirements used inside the
administration from Janet Napolitano, no longer the Gulf oil spill, it
is the BP-caused disaster.  You think I’m kidding?  Along those same
lines, it can no longer be said by administration officials, the press
office, or the media that the president went to play golf.  The
president no longer plays golf.  The president is clearing his mind.  We
appreciate your cooperation.  We’ll take note of those that do not do
as instructed.  So it’s no longer the Gulf oil spill, it’s the BP-caused
disaster. He doesn’t play golf anymore, he clears his mind.

Obama must have a guilty conscience about spending so much time enjoying himself while the country burns.

Sounds to me like an order to do as we are told, don’t know about you, but I don’t take highly to orders concerning free speech from my government.

Obama, McCain and Hillary All Die And Go To Heaven

Obama, McCain and  Hillary All Die And Go To Heaven

John McCain, Hillary Clinton, and Barack Obama all die and go to heaven.God looks down from his throne and asks McCain , “Do you think you deserve to be in heaven?”

McCain takes a breath and then replies, “Well, I think so because I was agreat leader and tried to follow the words in your great book .” God looks down and then says, “You can sit to my left side.”

So, McCain takes his seat and then God asks the same question to Hillary, “Do you think you deserve to be in heaven?” Hillary thinks for a second and then replies, “I think so because I have been fighting for the rights of so many people for so long.” God again looks down and this time says, “You can sit to my right side.”

Finally God turns to Barack Obama and asks, “Do you think you deserve to be in heaven?”

Obama smiled and replied, “I think you’re in my seat

It's time for Parents to get their heads out of the 60's

It’s time for parents to get their heads out of the ’60s

By John Rosemond

I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for the 1960s to be over and donewith. That destructive decade has ruled American parenting for 40 yearsand pretty well ruined it in the process.

Before the ’60s, parents sought child rearing advice from their elders.

Since then, parents have sought advice from a professional class — whichis to say, people like me. Courtesy of Dr. Joyce Brothers (Spock hadnothing to do with it, really) we so-called “experts” were able toconvince the American parent of a truly absurd proposition: to wit, thata 35-year-old who possesses a graduate degree in child psychology, hasbeen married for five years and has one child, age 2, knows more aboutchildren and how to raise them properly than an 85-year-old woman whonever finished the eighth grade but who raised 10 kids into successfuladulthoods. Like I said, absurd.

I was driving (creeping is more like it) down the 405 in Los Angeles theother day, getting really worked up about all this. Instead of roadrage, which is justifiable in Los Angeles, I was having an attack ofpsychobabble rage. I started thinking about the really dumb things thebabblers began telling parents in the 1960s. Take, for example,”children need to be able to freely express their feelings.” In 1969,when Willie and I became parents, we believed that. It took three yearsfor us to snap out of it, but by then our first child ruled our familywith his habit of freely and loudly expressing his feelings whenever wefailed to obey him.

It took a while, but I finally realized that children should not beallowed to freely express anything. The natural inclination of the childis anti-social, narcissistic. Children believe that what they want, they deserve to have, and because they deserve it, the ends justify themeans. Tyrants believe the same thing. Therefore, children are tyrantsby nature. Give a tyrant/child an inch, and the tyrant/ child willdemand a mile.

Parents show their love for their neighbors by forcing their children tosubdue their “inner bullies” and show respect for the needs of others. And yes, force is required. You cannot talk a child into giving up hisdelusions of grandeur and omnipotence. Once force has succeeded increating a child who will give his parents his undivided attention, thenand only then can his parents teach. Force is the horse that pulls thecart of teaching. And before the child abuse zealots go nuts, allow meto clarify: I ain’t talking about spanking (although I am not completelyeliminating the option, either). The most effective parenting force isapplied calmly, but with steely resolve.

Just as a child should learn that certain behavior is inappropriate tocertain situations, a child should learn that the expression of certainfeelings is inappropriate to certain situations. Children should learnthat it is just plain wrong to get angry when one loses a game, laughwhen someone else trips or cry when one doesn’t get one’s way. Just as achild’s behavior must be disciplined, so must a child’s feelings.

So must a child’s thinking. Children should learn that certain thoughtsare correct and other thoughts are wrong. After all, wrong thinkingleads almost inevitably to wrong behavior. On all three counts —behavior, feelings and thinking — parents need to be unequivocal. Theyneed to make themselves perfectly clear what they expect and what theywill not tolerate.

Yes, American parents need to wake up from the 1960s, take the flowersout of their hair, roll up their shirtsleeves and get back to the workof raising good citizens, defined simply as people who would ratherserve than be served, people with more other-esteem than self-esteem.

Now there’s some change I could really believe in.
