While visiting the beautiful paradise island of St. Thomas, a "must see" vantae point is Valdemar Hill Scenic Overlook. This site was established in the year 2000 and provides a beautiful panoramic view of The St. Thomas Harbor, the capitol city of Charlotte-Amalie and the surrounding mountians.




The historic spot also is home to Drake's Seat, the exact location where Sir Francis Drake would observe the comings and goings of his fleet, while maintianing a watchful eye for unwelcome visitors.


It is a convient resting spot on the way to Megan's Bay, a favorite beach resort,located nearby.



Don't forget your camera, as today the only ships entering the harbor are cruise ships coming and going to other exotic ports in the Caribberan.
