St. Lucia:Pondering Life
St. Lucia: Where life is simple and carefree.

While traveling about the county side , a constant eye has to be kept for any photo opportunity that may arise. Visiting St. Lucia on a recent cruise, I was rather disappointed. The weather wasn't agreeing with having an excellent photo gathering expedition.
It had been cloudy and raining all morning, so much that several members of or group decided to forego any land tours and decided to stay on the ship. No to be discouraged easily, I decided to brave the elements and see what I could see.
As time went by, I was glad I did, remembering to focus on local close scenes rather than vast landscape shots, I decided to find some of the local citizens and buildings to photograph. Going with the flow turned out quit well, several excellent photos were taken.
It is often said that a serious photographer can't take high quality photos while on a cruise. I beg to differ, being a serious photographer means you can find good photo ops no matter where or how you may travel. It just takes a little ingenuity and allowing oneself to think out of the box. Good photos are everywhere, all it takes to find them is to adapt to the environment and situation. You may not get the preconceived photos you were planning on , however , the ones you do take will be more original than the run of the mill touristy shots that millions of people have taken before you.
Just like this man in the photo, let life pass you by, and take only the opportunities to your liking that are presented to you.
