Australia: Aboriginal Life in the Outback

Aborigines still live in the outback

Despite continued efforts by the Australian government, many aborigines still live as they have for thousands  of years. Shunning modern Australian life styles, many Australian aborigines still pitch a humpie, a small shelter made from sticks, and sleep under the stars.
In many cases the government has provided them with housing, and the aborigines in turn sleep outside behind the government buildings. For them, life in Australia hasn't changed much , After spending so many generations living in the outback, the aborigines find it extremely hard to adapt to a new way of life. They have lost their culture and possibly a purpose for them to exist, unless we can learn to integrate their ways into our culture .
That would be extremely beneficial to us all. We could learn much from them. Let's hope they don't disappear, it would be a great loss to the world.
