Egypt: Land of the Pharoah, Town Bakery

                                                     The Town Bakery,  Habou Egypt

                                                           Egypt, Land of the Pharaoh

The morning bakery is now open! This photo was taken in Habou, and depicts how life was in ancient Egypt.Located across the Nile River from Luxor, life here reamins relatively unchanged from ancient times.
Bread is still being baked as it was thousands of years ago. The Egyptian version of  Panera Bread is baked by placing the raw dough along side a south facing wall, in this case an ancient Egyptian temple and  left there for the sun to naturally bake it. As you can see, the little girl is there to make sure it is baked to perfection.
