Sarasota has become a vacation paradise and favorite get-a-away for families. Due to the fact Sarasota is relatively unheard of and the lack of cheap hotels  It typically doesn't draw the "spring break" crowd.
Mostly, individually owned condos line the beaches , many of which can be rented on a weekly basis, thus adding to the family atmosphere.
