The Florida Hoosier
I am a retired UPS driver and now live in Florida. My interests are travel, photography, Shriners, and of course Indiana High School Basketball. Politically I am a Conservative. Socially I am a little more liberal and believe in live and let live, while fiscally I am conservative and believe that we should keep the government out of our lives as much as possible. Most of my posts will concern travel and the adventures I have encountered. Further articles and photos can be viewed on my websites, the links of which are on the top left corner of my blog. Sphinx, Egypt

The Sphinx is Located on the Giza Plateau, High above Cairo

Situated on the Giza Plateau, the Sphinx stands as if guarding the Nile Valley and the three great pyramids behind it. One of the most beautiful scenes I have seen any where is this photo of the sun setting behind this great monument. What a reminder of the tremendous history behind Egypt.
