We had been in the outback of Australia for over three weeks and hadn't seen our first snake.
As luck would have it , the words were barely out of our mouth when this mint green , six foot long snake came out of the bush and crossed in front of us, not more than two feet away. We immediately froze in our tracks and never moved!
We were mortified, as the snake slithered away on the other side of the path, he seemed to be saying," OK you losers, now you have seen me , so What?"
